With combined design and construction industry experience of more than 500 years and offices throughout the state of Washington, CSG’s team of specialists understands the challenges faced by districts implementing large and small capital projects. Our experienced team helps districts navigate this complex landscape both efficiently and effectively.
Kirk Pawlowski, Executive Director
Kirk Pawlowski is a nationally respected education and community architect and planner and former principal at the Portland/Seattle architectural firm SRG Partnership. Prior to working with CSG and SRG, Kirk was a university architect for the Oregon Health and Sciences University, executive director of capital planning & development for both Washington State University and Oregon State University, and assistant vice provost for capital resource planning at the University of Washington. Kirk has had accountability as the senior institutional representative for the successful planning, project management, and commissioning of capital bond program portfolios in excess of $200M per year over the past 20 years of his professional career.
Monique Dugaw, Executive Director, Communications and Public Engagement
Monique Dugaw is a an experienced communications professional with expertise in strategic communications planning and reputation management. She is skilled at leading institutions through planning processes to strategize comprehensive communications plans – outlining goals, tactics, and materials needed – for current and future initiatives, including bonds and levies. Monique is a former television news reporter as well as communications director and spokeswoman for large-scale disaster relief operations and law enforcement. Most recently she served as the regional director and national spokeswoman for the American Red Cross. She is a specially-trained FEMA Advanced Public Information Officer and an expert in crisis communications and community engagement processes.
Dax Logsdon, Director – Eastern Washington
Dax Logsdon serves as director of CSG’s Eastern Washington team. He has over twenty years of experience in school construction management and planning, with the last 18 years dedicated specifically to owner-based construction management for school projects. Notable projects he has managed include ones in Camas, Hockinson, Freeman, Richland, Ritzville, Pullman, Walla Walla and Washougal School Districts.
Keith Bloom, Director – Western Washington
Keith Bloom leads all CSG projects in Western Washington and is an experienced program manager and project leader with more than 40 years of capital facilities development experience. Keith is a Certified Construction Manager, and a LEED accredited professional. Keith led Washington State University’s Construction program for nearly twenty years before joining CSG.
Geert Aerts, Building Commissioning Manager
Geert Aerts performs existing building commissioning, conducts energy audits and improves energy efficiency in public schools in Washington and Oregon. He has been with CSG for nine years and brings over 20 years of overall experience. He is a registered professional mechanical engineer and certified energy manager (CEM).
Rick Alexander, Associate Director - Constructability Review and Building Commissioning Programs
Rick Alexander has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. Starting in 2001, he created the Building Commissioning program for CSG. Since that time, Rick has been involved in hundreds of school projects ranging from boiler replacements to complete new schools and everything in-between.
Lawrence Barney, Project Manager
Lawrence Barney has worked in construction management for nearly a decade, the past four of which have been with CSG. He is an experienced project manager, having worked on numerous local school construction projects in the Tri-Cities including Sacajawea Elementary in Richland, Marcus Whitman Elementary in Richland, North Franklin Region Transportation Cooperative in Connell and the Teaching Learning Administrative Center (TLAC) in Richland.
Linda Colasurdo, Project Manager
Linda Colasurdo has over 25 years of construction project management experience in both the public and private sectors. She has over 15 years of experience managing the planning, design and construction of Washington school projects including those in Cascade School District, Eastmont School District, Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College and the University of Washington.
Janet Cordes, Administrative Support - Operations
Thomas Eller, Project Manager
Tom Eller is a project manager for CSG’s Eastern Washington Division. He has been involved in both the residential and commercial construction industries for over 25 years. His experience ranges from custom, single and multi-family homes, to private and public sector commercial construction projects such as casinos, health care, dormitories and modular building projects. He also has extensive experience within the land development-master planning arena as well. Most recently, Eller worked for the Department of Energy Hanford site as a senior estimator assisting with the development of the upcoming prime contracts that range from $4 to $13 billion. He has also previously worked for a modular building company providing both relocatable and permanent school buildings (Richland SD – Three Rivers Homelink) at school districts throughout Eastern Washington.
Josh Goffin, Building Commissioning Field Manager
Josh Goffin has worked in the residential/commercial/industrial energy conservation field for more than a decade. His areas of expertise include energy conservation and lighting. A notable project Josh has worked on includes writing energy conservation measures (ECM) for rooftop HVAC maintenance state technical reference manuals (TRM).
Dan Gordon, Senior Project Manager
Dan Gordon is a project manager for CSG’s Eastern Washington Region and has been with CSG for over 10 years. His experience includes 20 years with the U.S. Naval Construction Battalion and 15 years in the private sector, providing Eastern Washington school construction administration and project management. He has led projects in districts such as Pullman, Ritzville and Moses Lake.
Jennifer Halleck, Senior Project Manager
Jennifer Halleck has 15 years’ experience working with school operations and construction. Her expertise is in school district capital facilities master planning and bond program execution. She has proven success in performing key milestones activities such as rigorous and detailed pre-bond preparations, portfolio management, project management, long and short-range planning, state study and survey writing, grant writing, resource conservation and community services. Before joining CSG, she was a key team member for Vancouver School District in planning, passing, and facilitating their $458M general obligation bond, $43M grant, $66M state assistance and $12M impact fees for an overall projected $579M bond program.
Heidi Hansen, Project Manager
Heidi Hansen has two decades of experience managing capital construction programs in the Puget Sound region, overseeing projects from design and permitting to construction and occupancy. With over 15 years of experience as director/manager of K-12 capital projects departments at Monroe, Arlington and Mukilteo School Districts, she has expert knowledge of how K-12 bond projects are managed, including contract negotiations, budgeting, state funding assistance and community engagement.
Phil Iverson, Senior Project Manager/Value Engineer
Phil Iverson is a senior project manager and leads the CSG Value Engineering Team. Phil is an Air Force veteran with eighteen plus years working in Montana for Cut Bank Public Schools, Montana State University Bozeman and most recently in Washington for the Centralia School District, serving as their director of facilities.
Tex Ladish, Senior Project Manager
Tex Ladish has over 34 years of construction management, project management and facilities construction experience. Over the past 14 years with CSG, he has effectively provided project and construction management services for a variety of public school projects including Nooksack Valley, Lynden, Meridian, Ferndale and Marysville School Districts.
Mike Melling, Associate Director – Project Management Services
Mike Melling serves as the associate director of project management services and has been in the construction management industry for eight years. He is an experienced project manager and has worked on notable projects including Prosser High School in Prosser and Leona Libby Marshall Middle School and Three Rivers Homelink in Richland.
Steven Nunez, Senior Building Commissioning Manager
Dan Purefoy, Senior Project Manager
Dan Purefoy has worked with CSG for the past decade and has managed a number of complex projects for school districts throughout Eastern Washington. He has extensive experience and a thorough understanding of the school construction process and has managed projects in school districts including Walla Walla, Othello, North Franklin, College Place, Liberty, Royal, and Brewster School Districts.
Dolly Ramminger, Project Manager
Dolly Ramminger has over 20 years of construction management, contract management, accounting, and human resource management experience. Over the past seven years with CSG, she has provided construction management services for a variety of school projects throughout Eastern Washington including projects in Colton, Davenport, Moses Lake and North Franklin School District.
Rich Scogin, Project Manager
Rich Scogin has over 36 years of work experience as a Licensed Architect in the state of Washington. He has spent his career as a project architect/construction manager in both the educational and health care systems. Prior to working with CSG, Rich worked at architectural firms in Oregon and Washington, was project manager at Oregon Health and Science University, project architect with Kaiser Permanente, construction manager for PeaceHealth and has spent the last 15 years as a construction manager with Providence Health & Services. While at Providence, Rich was responsible for over $400M worth of both new/remodel hospital and medical office capital projects.
Leah Scouller, Administrative Support - Finance
Richard Skreen, Project Manager
Richard Skreen has more than 20 years of experience working as an Architect on educational projects. He has expertise in construction administration and project management services for both K-12 and higher education. Richard has worked on numerous projects for CSG, including project management for new and modernized schools in the Kelso School District and value engineering for Prosser High School, Kalama Elementary and Middle Schools and Kelso School District.
Karen Soderquist, Assistant Project Manager
Karen Soderquist is an experienced project manager located in Brewster, Washington. She and her husband owned an architectural metal building construction company for over 20 years before she became a professional project manager. In her time with CSG, Karen has helped to manage projects at Brewster School District including the modernization of its elementary school, additions to its middle school and the construction of a new high school.
James Stone, Project Manager
James Stone has over 25 years of construction project management experience in both the public and private sectors. He also has extensive experience within the land development-master planning arena with focus’s in campus planning, athletic facility complexes and agricultural and biological engineering and planning. His diverse portfolio includes successful projects in higher education, professional sports facilities, K-12 schools, HUD and Civic Services, HUD Housing, and Campus Infrastructure.
Bernice Sundby, Associate Director – LearningEdge Program
Bernice Sundby has over 30 years of financial experience in K-12 education at ESD 112 and at school districts in the region. As an Associate Director of CSG, Bernice serves as a trusted advisor to our districts across the state. She has experience in the financial tracking and budgeting of bond and construction projects, in providing consulting services to school districts in areas of capital financing, state match/claims, grants, fiscal project management and in fixtures, furniture and equipment (FF&E) procurement. Bernice also enjoys providing consultation to districts as they plan roles, responsibilities, procedures and organization of their staff and data as they begin their exciting building projects. She was instrumental in starting our new FF&E purchasing program known as the LearningEdge program, which she manages with the goal of assisting districts in procuring quality products and creating future-ready teaching and learning environments while maintaining the integrity of their budgets.
Andrew Twyman, Project Manager
Andrew “Andy” Twyman is a project manager with CSG. Andy has more than 15 years of experience as a designer and project manager for architecture firms. His diverse portfolio includes successful projects in healthcare, commercial retail, multifamily housing and public and private sector master planning. Andy earned his Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Miami in Florida.
